Parents and Grandparents PR Program – Opening 28 July 2025
Canadian government has announced the intake opening for Parents and Grandparents Permanent residency program for the year 2025 with the aim to reunite the families in Canada. In March 2025, IRCC has announced that it will accept up to 10,000 sponsorship applications under this program for permanent residency.
On 16 July 2025, IRCC announced that it will start intake round of invitations on 28 July 2025 over the period of 2 weeks to potential sponsors who submitted their interest form in 2020. IRCC decided to send invitations to 2020 pool instead of opening this program for new applicants. If you submitted your interest form in 2020 and have not yet received the invitation, pleas check your emails (spam and junk folders too).
If Invitation Not Received
You can still bring your parents in Canada under Super Visa application which allows them to remain in Canada for longer duration of 5 years on 10 years visa with multiple entries and options to extend the stay.
